Public Elected and Lead Governor at South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust
February 2016 - Present | UKGovernors act as critical friends to the Trust, and in doing so should represent the interests of stakeholders (the public, patients, SECAmb staff and organisations that work closely with or have an interest in the Trust). Duties include: - Holding the Non-Executive Directors to account for performance of the Board - Chair of Governors Development Committee - Member of the Nominations Committee - Guarding the public interest through constructive challenge - Advising on the annual plan and quality the Trust accounts - Ensuring the Trust feeds back to members Supporting the Board of Directors by providing on its vision, strategy and plans an independent perspective on Trust plans and developments - Ensuring the Trust seeks the views of members to inform its plan In addition to statutory work as a Governor, I also sit on two internal projects looking at developing the role of volunteers within the service.
